The Chamber's free monthly Small Business Roundtable is an important educational and networking opportunity for small businesses. This event provides expert speakers on topics to help you grow your business, such as digital marketing and business development, and also gives you the opportunity to make connections and grow your professional network. The forum is applicable to a variety of businesses and employee levels, from front-line customer service to owners.
This Month's Topic: Being a Queer Celebratory Business Owner to Your Employees & Clients
Description
Led by SC Nealy, LPC and other employees at LGBT+ Counseling Collaborative, this discussion will focus on tips for business owners on how to create a safe space for their queer and trans employees and clients all year long. Specific tips will include things like creating a physical office space that showcases diversity and representation, important policy wordings and paperwork revisions that increase inclusion, and team culture shifts that can improve morale among team members. This space will also invite questions from the audience, both anonymously or not, that employers might have that we can answer in non-judgmental ways.
