The Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington is seeking artists for three long-term and one short-term studio. The Resident Artist program provides subsidized studio space in a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages interaction, dialogue, and exploration. The program gives artists the opportunity to develop their practice in a community with other contemporary artists and alongside MoCA Arlington’s critically acclaimed exhibitions and extensive educational programs. All studios have excellent sunlight, private work sinks, and high ceilings with 24-hour access, 365 days a year. Shared facilities include a lounge area, kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower. All studios and shared facilities are wheelchair accessible.

Artists Christina P. Day and Steve Wanna discuss their work and their solo exhibitions currently on view at MoCA Arlington. At 1pm, Christina P. Day will discuss Depth Cue, which includes a new architectural installation and several new linoleum collage works. At 2pm, Steve Wanna will discuss his new sound and light installation A Vast Expanse.

Christina P. Day: Depth Cue and Steve Wanna: A Vast Expanse take place as part of MoCA Arlington's SOLOS 23-24, a series of solo exhibitions by artists based in the Mid-Atlantic taking place at the Museum throughout 2023 and 2024. The exhibitions were selected from an open call by a jury that included artist Nekisha Durrett, Betsy Johnson, assistant curator, Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, and Jova Lynna, director, Temple Contemporary, Tyler School of Art and Architecture, Temple University.

This summer's Research Uncorked will focus on AI for the common good and features a captivating conversation with Nitesh Chawla, Founding Director of ND's Lucy Institute for Data & Society, moderated by Jamie Miller, CEO and Regional Dean of Northeastern University’s Arlington Campus.
