Join resident artist Rebecca Rivas Rogers while we walk, observe nature
and mix color in Love Letter to a Color. In this workshop, designed for
novices and experienced artists alike, Rivas Rogers invites participants to
partake in the process the artist underwent to create her current solo
exhibition Grey View, on view here at MoCA Arlington. Participants will
be asked to pick their favorite color and find it in nature during an hour-
long excursion in the neighborhood around MoCA. Afterwards participants
will be invited to record their observations in acrylic paint while learning to
mix the various iterations of the color.

Washington, D.C.-area employers need workers with green skills to prepare the region for extreme weather, natural disasters, pandemics, longer allergy seasons, and other climate-related challenges. Neighborhoods, cities, states, and nations increasingly depend on advanced research, analysis, and management to prepare communities for unforeseeable climate changes.

Northeastern University’s College of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSSH) offers experiential learning through advanced degree and certificate programs that use real-world problems and hands-on experience to equip professionals with green skills for building climate resilience and sustainability.

Horizon Day Camp provides full-summer day camp, year-round family activities, and in-hospital programs for children with cancer and their siblings. Recognizing the many ways long term illnesses impact family life, all Horizon activities are offered free of charge.

HorizonWALKS brings caring communities together to enjoy a family-friendly walkathon filled with music, activities, and a finish line celebration. Opening ceremony begins at 9 am followed by a stroll along the Harbor Trail. Return to the Jumbotron for free activities including a dj and dancing, face painter, balloon artist, arts and crafts, plus more! Event ends by 11 am.

By joining us, you will be playing a key role in sending children affected by cancer to Horizon Day Camp, where they can forget about hospital beds and needles, and enjoy a summer camp filled with excitement, friendship, and fun.

The Chamber's free monthly Small Business Roundtable is an important educational and networking opportunity for small businesses. This event provides expert speakers on topics to help you grow your business, such as digital marketing and business development and also gives you the opportunity to make connections and grow your professional network. The forum is applicable to a variety of businesses and employee levels, from front-line customer service to owners.

THIS MONTH'S TOPIC: Virginia Values Veterans Program, presented by Michael Glascock, V3 NoVA Membership Manager at Virginia Values Veterans in partnership with the Northern Virginia Regional Commission.

The Virginia Values Veterans V3 Program helps employers develop and implement successful, long-term strategies to recruit, hire, and retain Virginia Veterans. Hiring Veterans is not only the right thing to do but also a smart business decision. The knowledge and abilities today’s service members and Veterans gain in our modern military make them an extremely valuable talent pool for companies that wish to grow and improve organizational performance. Our goal is to explore every restaurant on the Pike using the Columbia Pike Recipes for Recovery book as our guide. We'll connect with the community, support local small businesses, engage in lively conversations while indulging in mouth-watering dishes.

This club luncheon is the perfect way to discover the unique culinary landscape of the Pike, whether you're a long-time Arlington resident or new to the area.

Join us on the last Wednesday of the month, as we embark on this delicious journey one restaurant at a time. Participants pay only for what they eat. Registration is required to help us coordinate with the restaurant.
