Promote your business before the workday even begins. The format of the Breakfast Connection gives attendees a chance to bring their business to the table, literally. This event focuses on roundtable power networking and provides attendees the chance to exchange business cards, develop new prospects and share a 60 second pitch with each table. Come to this Nonprofit Focused Breakfast to form connections to either deepen your Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, or to explore relationships to help you get started. Register to attend and connect with community leaders to learn about their opportunities to be engaged locally. Bring plenty of business cards- you'll need them! Registration includes a full buffet breakfast with coffee, tea and juice.

The Chamber’s Government Affairs & Economic Development Committee welcomes two guests at its Wednesday, July 17 meeting. First, we will welcome Debbie Albert from Permit Arlington, the new online permitting tool for Arlington County. Debbie will familiarize us with the tool and answer our questions. Second, we will welcome Jason Stanford, the Executive Director of the Northern Virginia Transportation Alliance. He will discussion the alliances projects and priorities, and take questions about transportation projects in our region.

The meeting will be at 9:00 a.m. in the Chamber Boardroom. As always, participation in the Government Affairs & Economic Development Committee is open to all Chamber members, and is exclusive to Chamber members.

The Chamber's monthly Small Business Roundtable offers an important educational opportunity to smaller businesses. The roundtable is free to members but space is limited and registration is requested. The topic of discussion changes monthly, allowing attendees to learn how to enhance their business and increase their success in a different way each month!

THIS MONTH'S TOPIC: "Emerging Technologies for Small Businesses," presented by John Spalding III of AT&T. John Spalding III, a Client Solutions Executive with AT&T Business, will present on several technology options that small businesses can incorporate to improve efficiency and protect against outside threats. This includes information on key business trends like cybersecurity, mobile experience, and tools that can increase employee collaboration.
