Event Description: On Saturday, May 12th (rain or shine), the Animal Welfare League of Arlington will be holding the 17th Annual Walk for the Animals to help raise money for homeless animals in our community. Come join nearly 500 people and 300 dogs at Bluemont Park for a 3-mile walk or a 1-mile stroll -- or simply come and enjoy the various activities and demonstrations. A registration fee of $25 is required for each pre-registered walker and all pre-registered walkers receive a 2012 Walk t-shirt and all dogs participating receive a bandana.
