Event Description: The Virginia Tech Research Center – Arlington is opening its doors in Ballston. All in the Arlington community are welcome to join in the celebration. You will also have the opportunity to tour the new center designed to serve as a nucleus of discovery and extend Virginia Tech’s footprint in the National Capital Region. The seven-floor, 144,000 square foot building is certified LEED-Gold. In conformance with Arlington County’s planning requirements, it features first floor amenities including retail, exhibits, an outdoor terrace restaurant, abundant green space, and public parking. The second through fifth floors include computational laboratories, offices, and a conference center available to the region’s science and technology communities for meetings and events not specifically related to the university.
