Event Description: On Saturday, May 14th (rain or shine), the Animal Welfare League of Arlington will be holding the 16th Annual Walk for the Animals to help raise money for homeless animals in our community. Come join nearly 500 people and 300 dogs at Bluemont Park for a 3-mile walk or a 1-mile stroll -- or simply come and enjoy the various activities and demonstrations. The success of this event depends of the number of people who walk with us and collect pledges. Since this is a pledge walk, it is important to ask friends, co-workers and neighbors to sponsor you. A registration fee of $25 is required for each pre-registered walker (with a reduced fee for children). All pre-registered walkers will receive a free t-shirt and bandanna. The benefits of walking with us for the 16th Annual Walk are endless! Not only do you get to spend the day outside with some of the cutest dogs in Arlington and help a great organization raise money for the animals in our community, but you can now also win some great prizes!
