Event Description: Now in its 21st season, Bowen McCauley Dance’s professional contemporary company presents its world premiere Tramontane. Like the strong, sweeping wind from the North of France, Tramontane creates a movement of harmonious proportions brought to life with eight dancers and set to the delightful music of French Composer, Jean Cras, and played live by the string trio, MuUyas. In honor of the 100th Anniversary of John F. Kennedy’s birth, Lucy has created a solo piece, El Cant dels Ocells for guest artist, Ilana Goldman using the marvelous recording of Spanish cellist, Pablo Casals’ Song of the Birds, which he performed at the White House in 1961. BMD presents critically acclaimed Le Sacre du Printemps a quatre mains (Rite of Spring - played with four hand piano) accompaniment by Fabio and Gisele Witkowski. Expect a dramatic interpretation to the score by Russian Composer, Igor Stravinsky.
