Event Description: On June 14, 1777, the Second Continental Congress passed the Flag Resolution to officially adopt the United States flag. Now, people come together each year on June 14 to honor Flag Day and the stars and stripes that symbolize our nation. Please join us for a special event and patriotic flag retirement ceremony as we celebrate National Flag Day. Flag collection boxes will available at several locations in our community, including Murphy Funeral Home. For more information and additional drop-off sites, please call 703-920-4800.
