Event Description: Every December OAR has provided gifts to children with incarcerated parents in our local detention centers for over 30 years. Each child receives gifts with a personalized note from their parent hand-delivered to them by volunteers or sent by mail. We do this in the hope that the children will feel remembered at holiday time. Our goal is 1,200 gifts so that every child can have three presents. How You Can Help: - Contribute new and unwrapped toys for boys or girls, ages 1 to 14. - Place a donation box at a popular spot during the month of October, including the OAR Office located at 1400 N. Uhle, #704 (Arlington Courthouse area) and the Arlington Atrisphere, 1101 Wilson Boulevard (Arlington Rosslyn area). - Make a financial contribution for Gift Cards to be given to teens 13 to 19.
