Event Description:

Join the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, the Ballston BID and the Arlington Jaycees for the Young Professionals to Business Leaders (YP2BL) Speaker Series focused on career journeys and how to succeed in the business environment! This highly anticipated series will give important advice regarding career struggles, triumphs and best practices for success from some of Arlington’s well-accomplished business leaders in corporate, executive and entrepreneurial fields.

The next event of this series will be held on Monday, September 23 at 6:00 p.m. at Ballston BID’s LaunchPad located on 4238 Wilson Blvd, suite 1132. It will feature Phillip Sandino, Director of Customer Solutions for Northern Virginia for Dominion Virginia Power.

Before and after the program, beer, wine and refreshments from Il Forno will be served while you mix and mingle with Arlington’s best and brightest young professionals.

Registration is $15 before noon on Thursday, September 19th. After this time, and at the door, registration will be $20.

Phillip's Bio
Throughout his career journey, Phillip Sandino has learned how the combination of work, family and community (he was named 2013 Dominion Volunteer of the Year) all contribute to a successful career. As the most senior Hispanic employee at Dominion Virginia Power, Sandino currently serves as Director of Customer Solutions for Northern Virginia. He is the first person ever to hold this position, overseeing 115 employees – one third of which are under 35 and refer to him for career advice. Sandino worked his way up in the energy industry beginning at GE. After leaving GE to attend grad school, he founded a startup called Cyber210, a digital entertainment company, and eventually sold it. Following his experiences as an entrepreneur, he returned to the energy industry as Operations Supervisor for NRG Energy. He eventually joined Dominion and began working his way up in the company.

The LaunchPAD is located in the Ballston Mall in the old Chevy's location.
Parking is available in the garage for $1 for up to three hours. There are two entrances, one on N. Randolph St. and one on Glebe Rd.
Street Parking is also available.
