Event Description: ADMISSION IS FREE! Put on your best derby hat and join us for a special horse racing fundraiser for Doorways, sponsored by O’Sullivan’s! Here’s how it works: there will be six races of 10 horses each. You donate to be the owner, trainer or jockey of a horse, and if your horse wins the race, you receive a prize! 18 chances to win! All donations will go to help Doorways for Women and Families create pathways out of domestic violence and homelessness, leading to safe and stable lives for those in our community. Donation levels for the first five races are: $20 to be an owner (and you get to name the horse!), $10 to be a trainer, and $5 to be a jockey. Donations for the sixth “Grand” race will be $100 to be an owner, $50 to be a trainer, and $35 to be a jockey. You can sign up early or the day of, but don’t wait too long—first come, first served! To sign up early, you can visit O’Sullivan’s any time during their normal business hours and ask to see the Day at the Races Chart. Join us on August 25th, and you can also “bet” on which horses will win—the person with the most play money at the end of the event will also win a prize!
