Event Description: Join us on July 29 for the USO-Metro/AFCEA-DC Golf Classic, the DC area’s premier networking event for communications and electronics professionals. Each year, leading defense contractors from the national capital region and leaders from the military and federal government get together to connect with colleagues, network with new friends and compete for prizes, while supporting a great cause. The USO-Metro/AFCEA-DC Golf Classic takes place at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Va., from 7:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Activities include: Beat the Pro, Hole-in-One, Long Drive and Closest to the Pin competitions, in addition to the opportunity to meet and golf with local wounded warriors. The day culminates with an awards luncheon, complete with raffles, a silent auction and a grand prize! Not only is the USO-Metro/AFCEA-DC Golf Classic a great way to spend the day, this exciting event generates funds to support the troops. Proceeds from the tournament help USO-Metro serve nearly 300,000 military members and their families living in the region and the 150,000 who travel through our local airports. Additionally, part of the proceeds generated at this tournament go to support the AFCEA-DC scholarship competition, providing funding to students seeking degrees in science, engineering and mathematics.
