Event Description: The Columbia Pike Streetcar project - whether you were originally for it or against it - is headed our way. It's time to get on board as a community leader to fully understand the project's roadmap and steer your way through the impacts and opportunities it presents for your organization. Join us to hear a moderated panel of experts address the following areas: - Overview of the project, where it's going, the timeline - Impact on transportation - statistics on traffic and transportation around Crystal City and Columbia Pike - Plans for commercial areas and housing - Economic impact Goal of Panel: To discuss the overall nature of the Streetcar project, the vision for the future of the communities that will be impacted by the project (specifically Crystal City and Columbia Pike) and the economic and transportation impact of the Streetcar. This panel will be moderated by Christian Dorsey, Director of External and Government Affairs for Economic Policy Institute. Panelists include Steve Del Guidice, Transit Bureau Chief for Arlington County's Department of Environmental Services Transportation Division, Dave DeCamp, Grubb & Ellis Company and Arlington Chamber of Commerce Chair-Elect, and Bob Duffy, Arlington County Planning Director.
