This fundraiser is dedicated to raising revenue for the effort of reinstating the 0.25% Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) surcharge that funded Arlington tourism promotion from 1990 through 2011. All money raised through the event will go to fund the efforts to protect the TOT.

As Virginia's #1 county for tourism economic impact, Arlington and its hospitality businesses generate nearly $2.7 billion in visitor spending annually, support nearly 24,000 jobs and generate $74 million in tax revenue for Arlington County, plus over $83 million in Commonwealth tax receipts.

This portion of the TOT is a tax on guests who stay in Arlington hotels, not a tax on local residents. Those of us in the tourism business need the marketing and promotion efforts of the county's Arlington Convention and Visitors Service to equal or surpass those of competing destinations such as DC, Fairfax and Alexandra; all of which have significantly higher budgets.

Registration is $50 for individuals. Includes hors d'oeuvres and open bar.

There are two parking garage entrances off of N Fort Myer Drive. When turning into the hotel off this street, one entrance is immediatley to your left. The second is straight ahead.

Parking off of Nash Street
When turning into the hotel off of Nash Street, there is a parking garage to your immediate right.

Metered Parking
There are also several metered parking spaces in front of the hotel, along its Lee Highway side.
