The Government Affairs & Economic Development Committee meeting will meet on Wednesday, March 6 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on the Zoom platform. We will welcome Richard Stephenson, Arlington County Budget Director, to present the proposed Fiscal Year 2025 Budget for Arlington County. Following the presentation, he will take member questions on the budget and what new budget proposals mean for the business community.

Transportation

Arlington Tower has its own five-deck garage with entrances on 17th St. N. and Fort Myer Dr.. To access the Fort Myer Dr. entrance, stay to the right side of Fort Myer Dr.. Do not go under the overpass on the left side of the road, as GPS systems often direct drivers to do. The day rate for parking is $16. Other nearby parking lots can be found here. The venue is also a short walk from the Rosslyn Metro Station (blue, orange, and silver lines).

THIS MONTH'S TOPIC: Burnout-Proof Your Organization: How to Increase Retention, Boost Engagement, and Become an Employer of Choice, presented by Rachel Boehm, Executive Health Coach & Employee Wellness Strategist at Rachel Boehm Coaching & Consulting LLC.

40% of employee turnover is due to stress. And turnover costs on average 1.5-2 times the employee's salary. Burnout costs businesses through turnover, but first it will cost you in worse performance, lower morale, poor customer service, absenteeism, health care costs, and more.

According to Gallup, 75% of employees experience workplace burnout at least some of the time. And while 91 percent of surveyed leaders believed their employees thought they cared about their well-being, that number was actually 56%, according to Deloitte.
