Women in Business Networking Series

This series of women-focused networking events is open to those who want to expand their network, share knowledge, exchange ideas, and offer advice. The events focus on networking to grow your business opportunties and support others who appreciate what it's like to be a woman in business.

Transportation

The venue is located two blocks away from the Ballston Metro on the Orange/Silver line and there are several parking lots near by, including the Ballston Quarter parking garage.

Prospective members are allowed to attend up to three (3) Chamber Networking (Breakfast Connection, Business After Business, Small Business Roundtable, Women in Business Networking) events as a guest.

Companies that have previously attended more than three Chamber events and previous members who have dropped their Chamber memberships are not eligible to attend as a guest. The Chamber reserves the right to deny admittance to the event if a nonmember has already attended three events. Please contact Mike Rosenow at membership@arlingtonchamber.org to verify your eligibility or to join the Chamber.

Join us for a fun and hands-on floral arrangement workshop! This program kicks off with a floral arrangement demo, showing you creative ways to mix and match blooms. Then participants have a chance to play and experiment with a variety of flowers, colors, and textures. What is a Flower Potluck? Participants will bring flowers (foraged or store-bought, a mix or all the same) + a vessel (something you want to arrange your flowers in). We’ll start by choosing flowers from our collective potluck, so make sure to arrive on time to pick from the full selection and dive into the creative process with us!

On Sunday, Dec. 8, the annual Wreaths Across America Family Pass Holder Day will be held at Arlington National Cemetery and the Soldiers' and Airmen's Home National Cemetery. From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., family pass holders are invited to place a wreath at their loved one’s grave ahead of the National Wreaths Across America Day.

No registration is necessary, but both pedestrian and driving family pass holders must have an official ANC family pass to receive a wreath to place. Photocopies of family passes will not be accepted.

The cemetery will be open to the public on this day. However, wreaths will be provided only to family pass holders. One wreath will be provided per family pass and up to three wreaths per vehicle if there are multiple passes in the vehicle. Issuance of wreaths will be in line with the criteria for issuance of a permanent family pass: limited to parents, spouse, siblings and children of the deceased. No wreaths will be available for the general public on Family Pass Holder Day.

Limited street parking is also avaliable on Hayes Street. Additionally, the venue is accessable from the Pentagon City Metro Station on the Blue/Yellow line.
