When a tornado rips through Kansas, young Dorothy is whisked away to the magical land of Oz. She bravely embarks on a journey to Emerald City where she encounters a host of whimsical characters: good witches, bad witches, animals that talk, scarecrows that walk, and things magical to behold. Will Dorothy prevail over evil and make it back home? Follow the yellow brick road and find out with us! We recommend this production for ages 4 and older.

In overlooked nooks of major cities of New York, Chicago, and London, you can find traces of a revolutionary new take on architectural sculpture, the art deco concrete sculpture. We will use this early 20th century style to explore fun ways to manipulate concrete as a material, from body casting, rubber molds, to free hand sculpting. We will learn how to safely use variety of concrete mixes and additives to weave organic and geometric forms that are so recognizable in the sculptural style.

Kittens are everywhere in the summer, and they’re too cute! Join us to make a cat-tastic craft, learn about our Kitten College, and meet some of our adorable kittens who are looking for their new homes.

Kids CARE Club (Creating a Responsible Environment) is a program series for animal lovers ages 4-10 and their families to learn how to keep pets and wildlife safe through hands-on activities and crafts. Caregivers must attend along with their children. If you have multiple children attending, please purchase one spot each. Although Kids CARE Club is a free program, donations to our Humane Education fund are appreciated and help us to provide more children’s programs like these!

Join the Arlington Chamber of Commerce Foundation for a free training on how to recognize and response to an opioid overdose.

Led by Narcan Trainer Jim Dooley with the Arlington Addiction and Recovery Initiative, this session will teach the methods for recognizing an opioid overdose, and how to use Naloxone (Narcan) to help reverse an overdose. There will also be time for questions on addiction and opioid overdoses. Following training, attendees can receive Narcan.

The training session will be at the Arlington Chamber office. This event is free for Chamber members, but registration is required. Please register by Monday, June 9 at 12:00 p.m.

While this session is for Chamber members, community members are encouraged to check Arlington County's Arlington Addiction Recovery Initiative for more information about Naloxone (Narcan) use, information about opioid overdoses, and future community training events.

There are two 24-hour parking garages located within The Crossing at Clarendon available for attendees. Main entrances are located at 1201 N Fillmore St. and 1303 N Fillmore St, with additional entry accessible from Clarendon Blvd and The Loop. The first three hours of parking are free, then is $8 an hour after that.

Life Time is also located a short walk from the Clarendon Metro station on the Orange/Silver line. Bike storage is also available.

Join us for a feel-good flow to stretch, breathe, and reset midweek. Grab your journal, roll out your mat, and vibe with us for a 60-minute yoga session that ends with time to reflect with pencil and paper in hand.

Anastassia discovered yoga as part of her journey to cultivate better mental and physical health. She initially completed her initial Yoga Teacher Training to gain a deeper understanding of the practice, but realized that she loved teaching and supporting others. She believes that yoga mirrors daily life, and she hopes to help her students cultivate strength, resilience and flexibility in both.

Participants should bring their own mat, water bottle, and a journal. No late entry. Registration required.

Join us for this lovely and relaxing event: a sound bath in the wondrous Tiffany Gallery. This gallery hosts a wall of original Louis Comfort Tiffany stained glass windows that glow brilliantly in the afternoon light.

No prior experience required. Dress comfortably (and for warmth). Bring a yoga mat, blanket, and a journal for the option to reflect creatively at the end.

Experienced facilitators will use a variety of sound instruments, including chimes, crystal quartz, and tibetan sound bowls, to bathe you in beautiful sounds as you lay or sit comfortably through the event.
