BE AWARE!The lease agent, Jamar, offered me free rent and free parking for a month as well as a gift card, if I move in quickly (within 10 days) to take advantage of the deal. I got excited and moved in by the date required.
A month later, I never received the free month promised, they came up with an excuse for not sending out the gift card (still waiting for it) and the parking fee was also in my statements.

I escalated the matter with the agent and was told he needs to speak with his manager. Tried to get an answer for four weeks, following up with him multiple times and never received a response.
Escalated to Mr Silas Rivera (the new property manager), who was also "smart" with me and advised to make sure I always have everything in writing and read my contracts, so it is my fault, for not making sure they put everything in writing. Common sense right? Always a good practice against SCAMMERS!

p.s: The elevators often stop working for about 3 days and you may have to use the stairwell for 10 floors with the grocery bags.

Location is amazing having grocery store in the building and being right on the Custis bike trail. Probably the best location to live for biking anywhere in the DMV. I live that verde pointe is so close to everywhere yet also far quieter than being in the middle of Clarendon or Rosslyn.

The building and apartments are stunning and the rooftop pool is amazing. Really like that the stoves in the apartments are gas, unlike every other building I've seen in Arlington has electric. One tip when leasing is to ask about the private wine lockers up by the rooftop pool. They don't advertise that they offer these but it's so convenient to be able to keep some nice bottles right by the pool.

The staff here are fantastic.. They have a 24 hour concierge which is great, and really helpful when getting food and groceries delivered. Overall a great experience!

I moved in with great trepidation in the fall of 2021. I was so relieved to have an amazing experience, particularly supported by the staff, maintenance who played with my pup, and concierge team who welcomed me home every day. (Would have been 5 stars.)

Unexpectedly, the property was sold/tranferred to new management in late November with only two weeks notice for residents.

      Things have gone downhill.

New management has been heard making demands of new concierge staff, now in place since most of the friendliest and kindest seem to have slowly trickled away. The maintenance staff has also turned over to a great degree, and there aren't as many smiles anymore.

Strange things not common to a "luxury" community have been happening lately. Someone threw out pumpkins in the side yard a couple weeks ago, and they're still just sitting there in pieces rotting.
There's been an influx of aggressive dogs (adding to the 2 or 3 that probably already shouldn't have been here based on the lease agreements) lunging and growling in common areas and in the yard, despite strict policies embedded in the lease (at least the one I signed).
Leasing specials are being emailed to current residents that are not available to us. This may be because, for many of us, our information wasn't transferred during our after the building purchase and/or and management transfer.
Residents did not have access to the resident portal for nearly 3 months, making basic tasks like paying rent a chore. Not to mention that during the transition the low-key coffee machine in the lobby was offline for over a month while the new team decided if they'd retain the vendor. New residents were offered Starbucks gift cards, but I have yet to see a refund of my amenities fees for loss of services.
Electronic key fobs haven't worked for the community room or the gym on the top floor for over two months, maybe more. One has to exit the building to enter the community kitchen and multipurpose room.
Oh and those lease specials? In the past two months a lot of people who have lived here for years are moving out. While you might get a deal, your neighbor might get a similar or better deal and, in paying nearly $300 less for the same apartment, not have the same respect for community guidelines. People do raise children here. There are families here. We choose our spaces to reflect our lifestyles, and, unfortunately, this space is changing our from under us.

Basically, it's a lovely view here and the amenities are enough to stretch your budget if that's in your thought process. However, it's fair to let others know to be aware that things are currently very much in flux and seem very likely to continue to change, possibly even further away from warm individual greetings and deeper into dog wars and absent concierge staff (miss you guys!).

As a side note, very recent reviews (mid-Feb 2022) on another popular platform are not from actual residents. They're created content that can be seen repeated word for word elsewhere about other communities in other states.

p.s. I'll admit it got me, too... "on-site garage parking" does not also mean 'free parking included in rent.' It's a $125/mo. despite being only for this building, the market, and a great little café.

This was once the nicest building in Arlington. Since Murn purchased the building in late 2021, the building has gone to complete sh*t. The building is dirty all the time; the leasing office is rude; maintenance is terrible.

Look elsewhere. This is not a place that you want to live.

The good: building is modern construction, fixtures and appliances are high quality, and the location is great. The front desk and maintenance staff are friendly and attentive.

The bad: pretty expensive to live there. Many of the residents have poorly trained dogs that bark at all hours of the day and lunge at you in the common areas. The garbage room is often full to overflowing and not managed well. Communication with the leasing office and management is generally poor. They don't communicate proactively. When you contact them, they often don't write back (if email), and if they do, they don't usually solve the problem. You have to ask multiple times for things, and it often seems as though your request is not important. Seriously a headache to deal with the management.

We lived here for 4 years and what a treat it was. Unfortunately, the building sold in November 2021 and everything changed. What once was a lovely and friendly community has been reduced to a farce. While the location and units might be nice, dealing with mismanagement of the property (and money hungry Corporate leaders) left a horrible taste. You're better off moving anywhere else in North Arlington.

For the most part, I loved living in these apartments. Our view from the 9th floor was great, and the apartment was clean and modern. My balcony was definitely a highlight. The pool was spectacular. Often though, parties during the summer would get a little rowdy, with more strangers/guests than residents frequenting the pool and rooftop space, and management never seemed to care, often to the chagrin of residents trying to enjoy the common areas. The gym definitely left something to be desired, and was small with outdated equipment.

My MAJOR quip is with the management of this complex, that seems to turn over constantly. I moved out in November 2017, and was told by the then manager that I would be receiving my security deposit, in full, mailed to my new address. It is now APRIL, and I have yet to receive my reimbursement. I have made calls ad infinitum to follow up on this, yet I am passed around from one "manager" to another, who promises to look into it, with no results. It shouldn't be this hard, and unfortunately, has left a sour taste in my mouth from what otherwise would have been a great living experience.

My husband and I lived here for three years and we LOVED it. The only reason we moved was to buy.

The finishings are beautiful, you're right in the mix of courthouse action but far enough off the main drag that you have unobstructed views of DC. It's an easy 20 minute walk into Georgetown too. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. They all go out of their way to be of assistance. If something breaks, it's fixed that day. This really is a gem of a place.

Having Mom's across the street is another perk!

      Updated review

The communication/coordination is a problem. My moving in experience is not so good. There are a few my experience so far.

      1. They reply every single email before I sign the lease, but ignore my emails after I signed the lease.
      2. The leasing manager reserved the loading dock for me from 1:15 to 5:15. On the day of move in, the leasing manager told us to stop moving because we can't reserve the loading dock for such a long time. And another person moving out need to use the loading dock, that's why she let me stop moving. She also said she would call me after they finished moving out so I can continue. But I never receive the call.
      3. The front desk staff told me I can only reserve the loading dock for 4 hours. You need to make sure your furniture delivery time.
      4. They said they will send the maintenance team to fix the problems of the room after moving in. But no one comes after a few days. They promise someone will come tomorrow. I will see.
      5. I have to talk to them a few times before the problem is solved. It seems the front desk staff Rose starts to get impatient and aloof. She seems reluctant to help me.

Like someone said, most staff are friendly, but they are not efficient in making changes.

Update: They responded me quickly and solved all problems.

      Updated review

Just wanted to update my review on Verde Pointe. We relocated to a different state and moved out of Verde Pointe. The move out process was simple and they worked with us to make our last days in VP as stress free as possible.

Our apartment was vacant for three weeks before the new tenant moved in. We had an issue with being billed for power for those three weeks even though our lease had ended and legally we were not tenants. I called VP and the manager was super responsive. She immediately called the power company and took care of it so that we did not have to pay for power during that time. I really appreciated that.

Now that we no longer live in VP I appreciate more how nice it was having a welcoming concierge when we lived there. I now have to take my own trash out to an alley and really miss having a trash shoot. The neighbors and the building cleaning / maintenance staff were also really kind and I miss seeing them as well. I miss the floor to ceiling windows, the green trees, the biking trail, and being right next to Moms Organic, too.

VP was expensive but worth it.
