Event Description:
To Eat or Not to Eat: Food Allergies in the 21st Century
Food allergy is very common and appears to be increasing rapidly. While many people assume that food allergy is more than a minor nuisance, it has a dramatic impact on quality of life and can cause severe and even fatal reactions.
Recent studies have demonstrated that treatment for food allergy may be on the horizon. In this lecture, we will focus on the problem of food allergy and our groundbreaking studies on food allergy treatments.

Head north from Chain Bridge Rd. Take the I-66 E ramp to Washington. Take exit 69 to Washington Blvd (US-29)/Lee Hwy (VA-237). Bear left at Fairfax Dr. Bear right at Washington Blvd. Turn left at N Longfellow St. Continue on 16th St North. Turn left at N George Mason Dr.
From Springfield/Woodbridge, VA
Take I-395 North. Exit onto N. Glebe Rd.(Rt. 120). Left onto Washington Boulevard. Right onto N. George Mason Dr.

From 495
Take 495 South, toward Northern Virginia/Richmond. Exit 45B to Washington (I-66 E) Merge into VA-267 E. Continue on I-66 E Take exit 69 to Washington Blvd (US-29)/ Lee Hwy (VA-237). Bear left at Fairfax Dr. Bear right at Washington Blvd. Turn left at N Greenbrier St Turn right at 16th St N. Turn left at N George Mason Dr.
From MacArthur Blvd.
MacArthur Blvd toward Washington, DC. Bear left at MacArthur Blvd NW. Turn right at Arizona Ave NW. Turn right at Canal Rd NW. Turn Left to go over the Chain Bridge. Stay Straight onto N. Glebe Rd.(Rt. 120). Turn right onto Lee Highway. Turn left at N George Mason Dr.
PUBLIC TRANSPORATION
Ballston Station on the Orange Line is the metro stop closest to the Hospital. From Ballston Station, you may take an ART bus: number 51 on weekends or number 52 on weekdays. Handicapped Parking
Available in all parking garages, Center for Outpatient Surgery(1635 Building) lot, and at the Conference Center/Women & Infant Health entrance parallel to George Mason Drive.
